1991 Yamaha FZR600
Last year I picked up my first big-boy bike. A 1991 Yamaha FZR600R. Before this, I would occasionally ride older Honda CB350’s that my grandpa owned during his time in college. The bike has had a lot of problems. Some caused by its age and some caused by its multiple previous owners. As I keep tearing into the bike, I find modified parts that I wouldn't expect, which have been interesting surprises. The bike is a blast to ride and has a longer wheelbase, which fits me much better than some newer bikes. Outside of riding, the bike has been a constant battle with tuning the Minikui carburetors, valve adjustments, and the struggle of fixing exhaust leaks. Despite the issues, it's been a new passion project to remind myself why I love performance vehicles so much.
